Rachel Wilkinson’s Tragic Story – Longer Version

Rachel Wilkinson - 8-8-70 - 8-28-10

Remembering Rachel Wilkinson

Birth:  8-8-1970 – Death:  8-28-2010

Rachel Wilkinson was a lifetime Scientologist. She was in the Sea Org with her husband, Wil Wilkinson.  Rachel got pregnant while working at FLAG and prior to the “organizational enforced abortions” in the Sea Org, Rachel was allowed to keep her child. She and her husband were off loaded to work for eternity in a Class V Org in St. Louis, Missouri. They had signed a billion year contract. They had another daughter while living in St. Louis.

Rachel worked under Chad Lane, the Executive Director. Chad Lane is married to Stephanie Lane, who is also a staff member in St. Louis. Wil Wilkinson was an auditor.

It was allegedly reported by Winnie Berberich, St Louis Org staff member, to other members of the church, that Rachel and Chad had “financial irregularities” with donations and that Rachel and Chad had an affair.

While it is not a “crime against humanity” for these transgressions, it is what the Organization did to Rachel that is cruel and inhumane. Ellen Maher-Forney, the St. Louis DSA (Director of Special Affairs) and Ex Sea Org Member, assisted with the cover up of Rachel’s suicide. Her death certificate gave the appearance that she died in Florida. There was no obituary or funeral service.

Allegedly Brian Swyndro confirmed that Rachel Wilkinson took her life by hanging herself in her garage at her St. Louis home located at 7532 Marillac Drive, St Louis, MO 63121. Her daughter, Whitney, found her and Brian Swyndro was with Wil Wilkinson when Whitney called to inform them of the tragedy.

Chad Lane was willing to get “cleaned up” and confess his overts and withholds (sins in Scientologese) in California.  Rachel could not confront her transgressions and was subsequently kicked out of the Church. Matt Hanses, Executive Staff Member, announced that Rachel Wilkinson was “persona non grata” and not allowed back into her Church.

To think how desperate Rachel was to hang herself in her garage – a 40 year old woman with a husband and two beautiful daughters, who dedicated her life to serving Scientology as a volunteer – is unconscionable.

Investigation of court records reveal that Wil and Rachel were also getting foreclosed on. One of the many side effects of Scientology.

The house was foreclosed on by Fannie Mae shortly after she killed herself.

Susan Erceg, one of the co-signer’s on the loan, is her mother and is STILL a Scientologist. She also goes by Susan Hughes.

Susan Erceg was told Rachel looked at the internet and believed it. She was not told by Ellen Maher-Forney, that she was kicked out of the Church of Scientology after dedicating her entire life to serving as a volunteer.

While the Missouri Church of Scientology DSA Ellen Maher-Forney and staff would like to forget about Rachel Wilkinson – we have not. We are honoring Rachel Wilkinson and spreading the truth about how she died and how she was betrayed by the Church of Scientology.  Her family was told she looked at forbidden material on the internet. This is a scare tactic to keep members from reading the horror stories of other staff members and public who have left Scientology and told their stories on the internet.

The Church of Scientology sells help for a lot of money delivered by “volunteers” for virtually no pay. This is the “exchange in abundance” for Rachel Wilkinson and her family.

RIP Rachel, you’re gone but you’ll never be forgotten.
